Am I the only one who came out of this pandemic feeling like a totally different person?

Okay not totally, I’m exaggerating a little.

It has taken me a moment to warm up to people, not because I’m afraid of contracting the virus,

but it’s as if I became too comfortable staying at home, working from home, enjoying the silence or… being in control of my environment.

With time, hopefully, that is going to change.

Last week, I decided to switch things up and headed over to Dineen Cafe for a change of scenery

while I tackled some work. It’s all part of my mission to explore new things this year.

And here’s where I need your support—I’m counting on you to hold me accountable when we reach the end of the year, so we can see just how far I’ve come.

Hence, among other reasons, I decided to begin a blog as a means of expressing myself with places, people and things that contribute to the way our spaces are formed.

I’ll try not to bore you with all the details on how to style your living room or dining room.

Rather we will dig in deeper on the ‘Why’ and have fun while doing it!

Take a moment and think about this…

You’re probably reading this through your phone, iPad, or some sort of device.

Why did you choose this particular device to read it? Was it done intentionally, or was it already a part of your day-to-day, therefore more accessible to you?

The same thing applies to your home, your office space and the list continues.

As an interior decorator, the best part of the project is at the beginning, when I ask my client

to describe their style or what they’d want to achieve in their home. Often the response I get is, ‘’I don’t know’’

Then they either continue with ‘’just design a beautiful home for us’’. Well… one thing for sure is we will most

likely have too many revisions along the way. And that my friend, is not always a fun process.

I’ll keep the introduction short, for those who have no idea who I am. My name is Stephanie Fintan,

I’m not only an interior decorator but also that young lady who is usually wearing a baseball hat with a hoodie

or sweatpants when she’s not working.

One of the things I enjoy is solving puzzles. A  huge part of that reflects in the way

I notice and put together people’s interests and decorative items when it comes to styling their homes.

That can also be accessible to you. If you’re unsure and frustrated with all the big design terms and styles

that are out there, then this is the place for you.

I hope you enjoyed this read, I’m looking forward to exploring a whole new world of interior design trends, styles and stories with you!

Don’t forget to tell a friend about our new club, it’s going to be worth it.

And before I forget, here is a selfie from my trip to Dineen Cafe. Check it out if you’re in Toronto.
